Here are some things that happened since our move a few weeks ago. Don't get too excited, because if this were a conversation instead of a blog post, I'd be delivering in a deadpan monotone.
| Chef Erik, the Turkey, and pumpkin pie |
- Had a Thanksgiving ETA get-together in Afyon, hosted by some great folks who even provided turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. YUM. (actually this was really fun and blogworthy)
- Watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and tried not to cry
- Hosted some ETAs in Konya in our new apartment, saw the Sema again, and visited some museums here (also again). But was still nice to have some friends come visit!
- Listened to my students role play about what they'd do with $100,000-- apparently our speaking classes also reinforce the joys of capitalism and consumerism #anatoliantiger
- Had approximately 5 hours of Montana classes
- Confused the heck out of my Advanced reading class with some WEB DuBois and Mary Louise Pratt-- midterms are Thursday, but I am hopeful they'll keep up their good work.
- Helped a colleague administer her "oral communication" exams in the lit department (heard a wicked Bronx accent from a student)
Ok that's all I got for ya.
